Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust are proud to have a Brand New, State of the Art hospital as our new patient centred care giving offering for our local residents.

 

Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opened in October 2024 and provides cutting edge care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises which are flooded with natural light. The development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic compassionate and self-motivated nurses within the Paediatric Departments at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH). As a member of our paediatric team you will strive to give outstanding care and provide the very best to our patients ensuring a positive experiences and outcomes.

What we need from you:

  • You must be a Registered Children’s Nurse (RNC),
  • Have experience working in the UK as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a paediatric setting

 

Your duties will include:

  • Being responsible for maintaining standards and quality in the day-to-day management of the unit
  • This role will enable you to gain and demonstrate skills in leadership and people management within the clinical environment
  • Primary responsibilities will be to care for the children and young people who attend the unit, inclusive of supporting and developing junior staff by being a mentor and role model
  • Provide a high standard of nursing care for Infants, Children and Young People, within a family centred environment, in accordance with unit philosophy, local and national guidelines
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to take charge of any nursing shift as required
