We are on an active search for dedicated and passionate Podiatrists to join our client’s dynamic healthcare service. This is a unique opportunity to expand your professional horizons while making a significant impact on patient lives in New Zealand. 

What will you be doing in this role? 
 
We are seeking dedicated Podiatrists who can fulfil the following responsibilities: 

  • Examining patients’ legs: As a Podiatrist, you would be examining patients’ legs to diagnose diseases.
  • Performing foot and ankle surgeries: You would perform foot and ankle surgeries, for example, removing bone spurs.
  • Treating sport-related foot and leg injuries: You would treat sport-related foot and leg injuries, like fractures.
  • Providing preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment: You would provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of a range of problems affecting the feet, ankles, and lower legs.
  • Working with a team of people: You would work with a team of people including doctors, nurses, or on your own running your own business.
  • Managing medical office operations: You would manage medical office operations, from scheduling appointments to ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Broadening your knowledge and enhancing patient care: You would partner with doctors of differing specialties to broaden your knowledge and enhance patient care.
  • Prescribing, producing, and fitting orthotics and other aids and appliances: You would prescribe, produce, and fit orthotics and other aids and appliances.
  • Delivering foot health education: You would deliver foot health education.
  • Understanding the mechanics of the body: You would understand the mechanics of the body in order to preserve, restore, and develop movement.
  • Working with people in sports: You would work with people in sports to address sports-related injuries to legs and feet.
  • Using a range of equipment: You would use a range of equipment including surgical instruments, dressings, treatment tables, orthotic (inner sole) materials, lasers, grinders, shaping equipment, x-ray, and video gait-analysis equipment.
  • Undertaking a range of administrative tasks: You would undertake a range of administrative tasks such as ensuring stock levels are maintained and securely stored, and that equipment is kept in good working order.

 

 What are the requirements for this role? 

  • You will need to be a registered Podiatrist and have experience working in Podiatry.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. 
  • You must meet the English Language requirement set out by the Podiatrists Board of New Zealand such an IELTS or OET exam (if applicable).
  • You must have graduated within three years and be registered in the country where you gained your qualification, or practiced within the past three years.

  • Airport Transfers: Airport transfer to accommodation on arrival up to a cost of $300. 
  • Professional Body Registration Assistance: We’ll guide you through the process of registering with the New Zealand Professional Body. 
  • Visa Application Support: Navigating visa applications can be complex, but our team is here to provide all the help you need. 
  • IELTS/OET Reimbursement (if applicable): If required, we’ll reimburse the cost of your IELTS or OET examination.
