We are on an active search for dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapists to join our client’s dynamic healthcare service. This is a unique opportunity to expand your professional horizons while making a significant impact on patient lives in New Zealand. 

What will you be doing in this role? 
 
We are seeking dedicated Speech and Language Therapists who can fulfil the following responsibilities:

  • Performing patient assessments: You would perform assessments on patients to understand their specific speech, language, and communication problems.
  • Developing individual treatment plans: You would develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
  • Liaising with teachers, family members, and other healthcare professionals: You would liaise with teachers, family members, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Administering therapy and monitoring progress: You would administer therapy and monitor the patient’s progress over time.
  • Ensuring patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques: You would ensure that patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques.
  • Observing swallowing difficulties: You would observe any swallowing difficulties that the patient may have.
  • Planning and providing appropriate treatment: You would plan and provide appropriate treatment for the patient’s specific needs.
  • Giving advice and support to patients, family members, and teachers: You would give advice and support to patients, family members, and teachers.
  • Writing reports: You would write reports to document the patient’s progress and treatment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or Diploma in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to make decisions in the best interest of the patient.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centred approach to healthcare.

What are the requirements for this role? 

  • You will need to be a registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • You must have certified evidence of 1000 hours of speech-language therapy practice within the past five years.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • English Language – Academic IELTS exam (if applicable)

  • Visa Application Support: Navigating visa applications can be complex, but our team is here to provide all the help you need.
  • IELTS/OET Reimbursement (if applicable): If required, we’ll reimburse the cost of your IELTS or OET examination.
