Espirita have an exciting opportunity for an Operating Room Nurse to join the team at a world renowned facility located in New Mexico. The facility is a nationally recognised specialist in a wide range of care including heart health, children’s health and neuroscience care, operating as a Level 1 trauma centre with 458 licensed beds. This role requires a confident and dynamic OR Registered Nurse who can delegate appropriately and provide care in compliance with policies and procedures, in the most efficient and clinically effective manner.

Salary range & hours:$32.00 to $40.00 per hour dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing direct assistance to surgeons during operations, including handing instruments and managing surgical tools.
  • Keeping a close watch on the patient’s vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgery.
  • Responding quickly to any complications that arise during the procedure.
  • Monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and surgery, managing pain, and providing wound care.
  • Offering instructions and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing (BSN)
  • NCLEX-RN Passer (or in progress)
  • New Mexico RN License (or willing to obtain)
  • English Proficiency Examination (If required)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS/PALS or additional certification
  • 24 months recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
  • Ability/Willingness to relocate for a minimum of 3 years
