Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Texas (San Antonio)

Join a fantastic team of nurses that aim to provide care for patients. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will play a vital role for patients by improving health and wellbeing. Collectively, we can focus on improving patient’s care and support they receive during their recovery period.  

This role will require a confident, dynamic, and skilled General Registered Nurse who can delegate appropriately and provide care in compliance with policies and procedures, in the most efficient and clinically effective way. Successful candidates should have the ability to review assessment data, diagnostics, and laboratory data, and report abnormal results to the physician(s) and other members of the wider team.

A strong desire to continue to develop one’s own knowledge and practice while promoting continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating with other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and caregivers regarding ongoing patient care is essential. The post holder should be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing and improving services that lead to excellent patient outcomes through effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care while actively participating in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and stabilize incoming patients.
• Administer medications and start IV lines.
• Perform procedures like tracheotomies, intubations, stitches, and sutures.
• Create and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with the emergency team.
• Transfer stable patients to other hospital wings as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing (BSN).
• Successful NCLEX-RN Exam completion.
• English Proficiency Certificate (or native speaker).
• 24 months recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Willingness to relocate for a minimum of 2 years.
