About the Role

We’re seeking skilled, compassionate, and adaptable Midwives to join ACT Health on a three-year contract.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in accordance with best practice and ACT Health guidelines
• Support women during labour and birth, ensuring safety, dignity, and informed choice
• Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, and respond to complications appropriately
• Educate and empower families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold safety standards

  Earn $72,000 AUD to $87,000 AUD, depending on experience and specialty

Requirements

• Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification
• AHRPA registration (Espirita can support you on your APRPA registration journey)
• English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
• Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
• Willingness to relocate to Canberra for a minimum of 3 years
