About the role

We’re seeking skilled, compassionate, and adaptable Registered Nurses to join ACT Health on a three-year contract.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes across inpatient and community settings.

Key responsibilities 

• Rapidly assess and triage patients presenting with acute and complex conditions
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment
• Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and manage life-saving interventions
• Respond to trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to stabilise patients
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in real time
• Support patients and families during high-stress situations with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain compliance with emergency protocols, infection control, and hospital safety standards

• Competitive salary: AUD $72,000 – $87,000 depending on experience

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• AHRPA registration (Espirita can support your AHRPA registration journey) 
• English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
• Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
• Willingness to relocate to Canberra for a minimum of 3 years
