About the role

We’re seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Registered Nurses across a range of specialties to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska on a three-year contract.

As an RN, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. You’ll work in a facility known for its strong nurse-to-patient ratios, trauma care excellence, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities 

  • Provide direct, high-acuity perioperative care to surgical patients in accordance with operating room protocols, clinical standards, and evidence-based practices
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage therapies including IV infusions, anesthesia support, and sterile field maintenance throughout surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to prepare patients, equipment, and surgical environments for optimal outcomes
  • Document preoperative assessments, intraoperative interventions, and postoperative responses with precision to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
  • Respond rapidly to intraoperative emergencies, assisting with advanced procedures such as airway management, hemorrhage control, and resuscitation
  • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-discharge care to support healing and informed decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • NCLEX-RN successfully passed (or NCLEX study is in progress as a minimum)
  • English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
  • Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of 3 years
