You will be a committed and enthusiastic General Practitioner, focused on teamwork and dedicated to providing exceptional service to ensure positive patient experiences. With a strong emphasis on holistic wellbeing, this role offers a unique opportunity to broaden your professional horizons while making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives in New Zealand

You will have the option of working on either a permanent or locum basis.

What will you be doing in this role? 
 
We are seeking dedicated General Practitioners who can fulfil the following responsibilities: 

 

  • Consult with and examine patients to diagnose their health issues.
  • Treat individuals and families over extended periods, providing continuous care.
  • Advise on health care and illness prevention strategies.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and administer treatments such as injections and immunizations.
  • Prescribe and administer medications as needed.
  • Maintain detailed medical records of patient treatments and interactions.
  • Refer patients to other health services when specialized care is required.
  • Liaise with the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) regarding accident and injury claims.
  • Screen at-risk groups for diseases like cervical cancer and diabetes.
  • Train and supervise junior doctors working towards their general practitioner exams

What are the requirements for this role? 

 You will need to be a registered doctor and have experience working as a General Practitioner. 

  • Excellent communication and time management skills. 
  • Meet the English Language requirements set out by the New Zealand Medical Board. 
  • Must be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
  • Primary Medical Degree must be listed on the World Directory of Medical Schools.
