We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Radiographer to join our medical team. The Lab Radiographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role requires a thorough understanding of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and patient care. 

Department:Radiology 

Salary range & hours: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour, dependent on experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, as prescribed by physicians. 
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. 
  • Operate radiographic equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images. 
  • Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, and ensure they meet diagnostic requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures. 
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic information. 
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize exposure to patients and staff. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on radiographic equipment. 
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients, addressing their concerns and answering questions. 
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiographic technology and techniques. 

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field. 
  • Valid certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience as a Radiographer or Radiologic Technologist. 
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to evaluate image quality. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques such as CT and MRI. 
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. 
  • Continuing education in radiologic technology and related fields. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Work is performed in a clinical laboratory setting. 
  • Exposure to radiation and infectious diseases, with adherence to safety protocols.
