Espirita have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioural Health Registered Nurse to join the team at a world-renowned healthcare provider located in Ohio. The facilities are nationally recognised leading specialist in intermediate and assisted living, with a specialised emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion. Each centre caters to between 43 to 100 patients, and are located throughout the state of Ohio. This role will require a confident, dynamic, and skilled Registered Nurse with current experience in Behavioural Health, who can delegate appropriately and provide care in compliance with policies and procedures in the most efficient and clinically effective way. Successful candidates should have the ability to review assessment data, diagnostics, and laboratory data, and report abnormal results to the physician(s) and other members of the wider team.

A strong desire to continue to develop your own knowledge and practice while promoting continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating with other RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses, and caregivers regarding ongoing patient care is essential. The post holder should be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing and improving services that lead to excellent patient outcomes through effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care while actively participating in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes.

  • Assess patients’ mental health status.
  • Administer medications.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions.
  • Implement crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Document patient care.
  • Participate in research.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing (BSN) or country equivalent
  • NCLEX-RN Passer (or in progress)
  • Ohio RN Licence (or willing to obtain)
  • English Proficiency Examination (if required)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS/PALS or additional certification
  • 24 months recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
  • Ability/willingness to relocate for a minimum of 3 years
