About the Role

We’re seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable NICU Registered Nurses to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska, on a three-year contract.

As a NICU RN, you’ll play a vital role in caring for critically ill and premature newborns, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care during their most vulnerable moments. You’ll work in a facility known for advanced neonatal care, strong nurse-to-patient ratios, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized, evidence-based care to premature and critically ill infants in the NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and ventilator settings, responding promptly to changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutritional support as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Perform neonatal resuscitation and manage emergencies such as sepsis, respiratory distress, and cardiac complications.
  • Educate and support families on infant care, feeding techniques, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • NCLEX-RN successfully passed (or NCLEX study in progress as a minimum).
  • English proficiency (certification or native fluency).
  • Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience in NICU.
  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of 3 years.
