About the role

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Operating Room Registered Nurseswith proven circulator experience—to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska, on a three‑year contract.

As an OR RN, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams. This facility is known for excellent nurse‑to‑patient ratios, strong surgical standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑acuity perioperative care in alignment with OR protocols and evidence‑based practice

  • Provide circulating nurse duties, including patient preparation, equipment coordination, and maintaining a safe surgical environment

  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support anesthesia teams throughout procedures

  • Maintain sterile fields and assist with intraoperative tasks as required

  • Document pre‑, intra‑, and postoperative assessments and interventions accurately

  • Respond rapidly to intraoperative emergencies, assisting with airway management, hemorrhage control, and resuscitation

  • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post‑discharge care

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • NCLEX‑RN passed (or actively preparing)

  • English language proficiency

  • Circulatory (circulator) experience in the Operating Room is required

  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for at least three years
