About the role

Espirita is seeking qualified, skilled, and compassionate Sonographers to join a respected acute health system in Fairbanks, Alaska, on a three‑year contract.

In this role, you will perform high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties, contributing to accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. You’ll work within a collaborative imaging department in a facility recognised for trauma care excellence and clinical innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with physician orders and established protocols

• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety

• Document findings accurately and assist in preparing reports for radiologist interpretation

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses

• Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring comfort and understanding

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements

• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (or equivalent)

• ARDMS certification (or eligibility in progress) in one or more specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular)

• English proficiency (certification or native fluency)

• Minimum 24 months of recent clinical sonography experience

• Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of three years
